I am a collector of objects and stories. My studio is a vault where
I keep all these treasures. They take on a symbolic connection to the
work since I keep them around for long periods of time before they are
actually used. Sometimes finding the right object or story is an art
in itself. My pieces have a "jewel" like effect not only from
the shiny treasures that are in them but also from the many layers of
paint that are behind and around them.
