The Tale of Kama
Mixed media on canvas
with found objects,wax and paint
30" x 30"

Kama is the Hindu version of the male love god akin to the Greek's Cupid. He uses the symbolic arrow to awaken the personality and open it to love. I chose for my kama a male fashion image. Since Kama is also known as the "fire" or "inflamer" I poured red wax into this painting. His bow and arrow are made from plumbing parts. His sugar cane bow stretched by a string of bees was made from beads.
